Marigold Brand Design

Art Direction
Visual Identity

Following an initial agency-led rebrand, our in-house team took the reins in refining and expanding Marigold's brand design. I took the lead in crafting a variety of templates, guidelines, publication designs, and brand graphics, collaborating with cross-functional teams to empower self-service and ensure alignment.

Background

When the rebrand was shared with our team, it didn't take long to realize the extensive implications of a global brand update!

Seven house brands (eight, including the previous parent brand), formerly operating independently, now fell under the umbrella of the new brand. This triggered the urgent need for new assets across multiple teams, including sales, product, engineering, support, and beyond.

As a nimble creative team, we dove into the challenge of figuring out the most efficient way to develop and distribute all the various collateral and brand guidance the organization needed.

Process

This involved some serious teamwork and collaboration with sales, content, product, customer marketing, and support teams. It was a tough nut to crack, but we rolled up our sleeves to determine the best spots to focus our efforts.

To scale our work, I spearheaded the creation of email templates, presentation templates, and reusable brand graphics. I also played a pivotal role in training our various teams to effectively utilize these resources.

Outcome

This is an ongoing process, and the learning curve has been steep. Juggling change and breaking habits is always a bit tricky, but seeing our team grow in alignment has been a seriously rewarding journey!
